Stay Hydrated for a Better You

I find many women in our practice don’t drink enough water. Many don’t want to have to urinate frequently.

When you go into menopause and the hormone balance isn’t great, frequent urination is a side effect, so adding more water to the picture seems disturbing.

Fact is, the better hydrated you are, the healthier and thinner you will stay.

Water is the best detoxifier, and it covers a lot of sins, including overdrinking, which too many aging women do these days.

So for every glass of wine or coffee, I would recommend two glasses of water, and for every normal day, I would strongly suggest you drink a minimum of six glasses of water.

Alkaline water, which has ph greater than 8.5, has been scientifically proven to help decrease inflammation, which is caused by an acid internal environment.

Avoid acid-filled foods like tomatoes, oranges, and limes.

Meanwhile, onion, garlic, and highly spiced foods will decrease acidity — alkalinizing our bodies will decrease inflammation and also keep us thin.
