Question: Is there an advantage to taking certain medications at night, or in the morning? I take a statin every morning to keep my cholesterol level in check. Is that the best time to take it?
Dr. Hibberd's answer:
Actually, there is pretty good evidence that taking certain medications at night provides the best results. Evening use of Crestor, and other cholesterol-lowering statins, provides the most efficient reductions in cholesterol production.
So you should probably switch up your routine and take your statin before going to bed at night.
