Question: I'm thinking about "asking my doctor about Cialis" as those commercials say. Is it any better than Viagra? Or are all the ED drugs pretty much the same?
Dr. Hibberd's answer:
Most of the prescription erectile dysfunction drugs work the same way, but some will last longer than others. The decision to use a short-term or long-acting drug is a personal one.
Most men prefer a short-acting drug that isn't working when we do not need it. Viagra remains the most widely used ED drug. But beware of overseas suppliers. There is a large black market in off-label Viagra, and some of these pills are counterfeit and may even contain other drugs or contaminants.
The Food and Drug Administration can't protect you from incorrectly labeled brands sold by overseas suppliers, so it is important that you know that the labels are sometimes incorrect, or may indeed not contain Viagra at all.
