Question: I have neuropathy pain but not diabetes. Is there a specific medication for that which does not cause dizziness?

Neuropathy pain is best managed by attacking the cause whenever possible. Is this from a vascular cause, alcohol, heavy metal or lead excess, or from a drug side effect? Treatment of the primary cause is ideal for neuropathy management, but not always possible when causes are unclear.
Many painful sensory neuropathies respond well to combination drug therapy, if single agents are not effective. Drugs commonly used for neuropathy management include thyroid replacement therapy, vitamins, electrolyte replacements (potassium and magnesium), NSAID drugs (anti-inflammatories), low-dose antidepressants, anti-seizure medications, and newer drugs such as Lyrica.
Unfortunately, dizziness may occur with almost any medication, so a treatment trial may be necessary to see if you have dizziness with certain medications combinations.
