Question: I am 72, and have pain in the fingers of my right hand fingers, and some tingling and numbness in my thumb? Any ideas about what could be causing this? I am not diabetic and have no heart problems.
Dr. Hibberd's answer:
Pain in your hand and fingers including your thumb are probably related to arthritic changes, but an examination will be needed to be sure no circulation or stroke-like disorder is present.
A number of conditions could be causing these symptoms, and without more information, it's impossible to diagnose here. Talk to your doctor.
