Question: I am a 54-year-old woman and it seems like I’m cold all the time, even when others around me are warm. My hands and feet are always particularly cold. Could this be a medical problem?

Temperature sensitivity with cold hands and feet could be caused by a number of conditions. An underactive thyroid may be the reason, or it could be related to a vascular disorders, peripheral circulation problem, hormone instability, drug effect, vasospasm, Raynaud’s phenomenon, rheumatoid disorders, protein/immunoglobulin issues, or other conditions.

It is time for a medical checkup to assess your symptoms, then a targeted lab evaluation after your physical evaluation to identify the cause of your complaints.
