Question: You are absolutely wrong on your advice about colon cleanses. They work. I do a colon cleanse twice a year. When I was a child, mom “wormed” us every summer. Get informed!
Dr. Hibberd's Answer:
I am sorry you have been misled. There is absolutely no data to support the safety or the effectiveness of colon cleanses to either prevent or treat disease. You are the victim of a health scam. You have been victimized by a commercial con without any evidence or support from modern medical professionals or their educational societies. Parasitic disease and various worm infestations are safely, easily, and effectively diagnosed and treated, but they are not treated or prevented by colon cleanses. Always check the safety and effectiveness of advertised treatments with your doctor. Caveat emptor when researching health issues on the internet. Not all "authorities" and "consultants" are valid, and some are simply dangerous.
