Hormone Imbalances From Devitalized Food

Eating a diet of refined foods will lead to nutritional imbalances and a devitalized body prone to neurological problems and hormonal imbalances.

Elderly people often suffer from deficiencies of basic hormones such as thyroid and adrenal hormones.

One of the most common causes of dementia is hypothyroidism.

A complete hormonal evaluation should be part of the workup for all dementia patients, and must include measuring the thyroid and adrenal hormones.

Sometimes dementia can be halted or even reversed simply by correcting a hormonal imbalance — particularly hypothyroidism.

More information about this can be found in my books, Overcoming Thyroid Disorders and The Miracle of Natural Hormones.

Receiving a diagnosis of dementia can be devastating. However, all is not lost. I suggest a complete workup that includes checking for nutritional deficiencies, hormonal imbalances, and heavy metal toxicities.

Once an underlying cause is identified, a proper treatment plan can be implemented.

One word of caution: It is much easier to treat dementia at an early or mid stage, as opposed to a later stage, so you should take care of these risks as early as possible — preferably before memory decline sets in.
