Your texting habit may be cutting years off your life.
That’s the warning from the United Chiropractic Association, which warns that the forward-leaning posture people assume as they use smartphones and other mobile devices increases the odds of early death in seniors, The Telegraph reports.

Research suggests an association of such posture in the elderly and a condition known as hyperkyphosis, which is related to heart problems and lung disease. The UCA states forward-leaning posture is as dangerous as obesity, and that younger people may also be at risk.
“We tend to drop our heads forward which rounds the shoulders and this is what we term forward-leaning posture," UCA executive member Estelle Zauner-Maughan says.
