Hillary Clinton's email scandal "is going to take months" to end and that's why she's losing support, according to Donald Trump's deputy campaign manager.
"That's why we as all Americans are concerned about electing somebody who is going to be in such criminal problems — have such criminal problems as president," David Bossie said on Fox News' "Fox & Friends" program.
FBI Director James Comey announced Friday that the agency was reopening the investigation into Clinton's private email server. Emails that "appear to be pertinent" to Clinton's server were found during the investigation of Clinton aide Huma Abedin's estranged husband Anthony Weiner's alleged sexual texts with an underage girl.
Bossie also accused Clinton and Abedin of not being honest with voters about the contents of the emails that are currently under review by the FBI.
"Of course, we want to see them, but … she's able to say that because James Comey is not able to provide them," Bossie said. "She's demanding something that is not possible under our current system."
"We all want to see transparency, when in fact, she and Huma Abedin know exactly what's in those emails, and they could release [them]," he added.
According to Bossie, Comey's public admission that the agency was reviewing newly discovered emails is a sign that these are substantive emails.
"It has to have breached the level in which his senior leadership in the FBI demanded action, and I think he relented to his senior leadership," Bossie concluded.
