US Provided Information for Operation Targeting 'El Mencho,' Mexican Embassy Says

The Mexican Embassy in Washington on Sunday said the U.S. provided information for a military operation that resulted in the death of Mexican drug lord Nemesio "El Mencho" Oseguera.

"In addition to central military intelligence efforts, complementary information was provided by U.S. authorities within the framework of bilateral coordination and cooperation with the United States," the embassy said in a post on X.
