Inmates have a term for a prisoner headed to his execution: dead man walking. A similar description can now can be applied to the presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton.
As with the condemned offender, Hillary’s run for the presidency isn’t kaput just yet. But the announcement yesterday that she is turning over to federal authorities what amounted to an illegally used email server is the beginning of an unmistakable, if as-yet barely audible, death rattle.
She had to surrender it due to mounting evidence that she and a growing circle of senior aides used that server to communicate and store sensitive, classified, and even top secret information.
Such data was surely compromised by hostile powers.
Most Americans properly mistrust Hillary. Her metastasizing emailgate scandal ensures she’s got a dead campaign walking.
