Ark Music Factory, the producing company behind Rebecca Black’s YouTube sensation “Friday,” has filed a Take Down Notice with YouTube, reports the Guardian.
Ark recently made the teen’s viral hit a “rental” video in which fans could pay $2.99 to download and watch the music video. But this move sparked an image rights dispute between Ark and Black’s representatives.
Ark requested that the video be removed until the legal dispute can be resolved.
Black’s video received over 167 million views and almost as many “dislikes;” the public harassment and criticism of both Black and the song sparked great media controversy.
