President Obama: Baby Whisperer?

Wednesday, 22 June 2011 12:06 PM EDT

First Lady Michelle Obama was holding a visitor’s crying baby during the annual congressional picnic on the White House lawn last week. The baby wouldn’t stop crying, despite Mrs. Obama’s attempts to south her.

After handing the baby over to President Obama, the girl miraculously stopped crying to the shock of Michelle and onlookers.

“The father of two showed off his baby wrangling skills with the simplest of baby soothing secrets . . . bouncing,” said Jeanne Sager in “The Stir.”

The incident has sparked speculation about a presidential baby whisperer.
