The 28.5-acre Blue Heron Farm on Martha’s Vineyard where the Obama family vacationed in late August has been put on the market, reports the Hollywood Reporter.
The asking price of owner William Van Devender, a Republican timber businessman, is $24.5 million.
The 28.5-acre estate, on Tisbury Great Pond in the town of Chilmark, rents to guests, including the Obamas, for $50,000 a week.
The sprawling mansion contains two residences, equestrian facilities, full gym, and even a bocce ball court.
“It is the quintessential Vineyard property — elegant, understated; it doesn’t reek of nouveau riche stuff,” Mark Jenkins of Wallace&Co. Sotheby’s International Realty, said of the home. “Perhaps the new owners will want the Obamas to be their guests.”
