Lionel Richie will be the headline performer at Radio 2 Live, a festival taking place in London on September 11, reports the
BBC.
The one day event in Hyde Park, will feature the American singer along with the BBC Concert Orchestra.
Richie is slated to perform many of his classic numbers along with songs from his new album.
Additional acts include Jools Holland, Sandie Shaw, and Ruby Turner. Further acts will be revealed later this month on Radio 2’s breakfast show hosted by Chris Evans.
“Radio 2’s Hyde Park shows are without a doubt one of the highlights of my year,” Evans told the BBC.
Radio 2 will offer live coverage of the event on September 11.
