For 99 cents, iPhone users can now purchase access to a live stream of the Casey Anthony murder trial, reports PerezHilton.

Progressive Lifestyles, the company behind the app, released a statement about the app’s immediate success. “Crazy day in court and a crazy day for downloads.”

The app has received criticism for its disturbing underlying principle— using mobile technology to profit from a young toddler’s murder.
