Hunting in West Virginia: 15 Animals to Hunt in the Winter

By    |   Friday, 05 June 2015 03:54 PM EDT

In West Virginia, hunting during the winter can be both a positive and a negative opportunity. The cold and wind chill factor may severely cut down on the amount of time a hunter can stand to stay outside.

However, the freezing temperatures ensure regular snowfalls. Eric Nestor of Wide Open Spaces shares how carpet of snow reveals the passage of any animals that have passed by.
He reveals that snow provides a clean white background against from which to clearly view paw prints, blood, and scat.
