Crystal Harris, Hugh Hefner’s runaway bride, spent what would have been her wedding day in the company of reality starlette Heidi Montag at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
“I wanted to get away from L.A. so I didn’t have to think about the wedding,” she told Radar Online at the Wet Republic pool party hosted at the Vegas hotel.
The 25-year-old platinum blond Playboy model donned a skimpy black bikini under an animal-print coverup at the event. She completed the outfit with a pair of high heels.
She told People magazine that the closer it got to her wedding, the clearer it was that she didn’t want to marry Hefner.
“I wanted to be true to myself and be true to what was best for everybody . . . I love (Hefner). He is the sweetest person I’ve ever met in my entire life and I’ll always love him and he’ll always be a dear friend and I’ll always visit him all the time.”
That first visit will come on Monday when she goes to the Playboy mansion to collect her things and return her engagement ring.
