In Week Stuffed With Repeats, CBS Dominates Rivals

Tuesday, 22 December 2009 04:06 PM EST

The television ratings make it look like CBS was the only broadcast network working last week.

With the exception of Sunday's NFL broadcast and its pregame shows, plus "The Simpsons" on Fox, every show in the Nielsen Co.'s list of the most popular was on CBS. Twelve of the network's regular series last week were seen by more than 10 million people. Except for football, none of its rivals cracked that barrier.

CBS dominated with regular series like "NCIS" and "The Big Bang Theory," and the "Survivor: Samoa" finale.

Over on cable, the E! Entertainment network had its most-watched program in history with "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."
