Obama Just Doesn't Get It

Communication is often the key to a successful relationship between two people.

It's no different when it comes to the president and his rapport with the American people. But after Tuesday night's midterm smackdown — and the words from President Obama that followed — it's becoming increasingly clear that the dude doesn't get it.

At a Wednesday press conference, a reporter asked the president whether or not he did, in fact, get it. This was the opportunity to very clearly, and very directly, say that he has heard the message of the people, but instead he made excuses about how it wasn't what he had done — like healthcare and the economic stimulus — that turned people off. No, it was only the style, and maybe the speed, with which he had done it.
