President Donald Trump's personal attorney, Michael Cohen, has hired his own lawyer as he prepares to testify before the House Intelligence Committee, NBC reports.
Cohen hired Stephen Ryan of Washington D.C., NBC's Katy Tur reported on Twitter. Cohen is scheduled to testify before the House pane on Sept. 5, she said.
Rep Michael Conaway, R-Texas, who took over the intelligence committee's investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, wouldn't comment on when Cohen is scheduled to appear before the panel, Bloomberg reported.
"I don't talk about details" of the committee's work, he said
