Republican Bob Stefanowski holds a slim 2.4-point lead over Democrat Ned Lamont in the race for Connecticut governor, a poll by Hearst Connecticut Media Group/Sacred Heart University reveals.
The new poll shows Stefanowski favored by 40 percent of likely voters, compared to Lamont, who is backed by 37.6 percent. Unaffiliated candidate Oz Griebel was backed by 9 percent.
About 12 percent of those polled said they were still undecided in the race.
The poll, conducted Oct. 29-31, surveyed 500 likely voters. The margin of error is 4.32 percentage points.
