The lead that Republican Josh Hawley had been enjoying over Democrat Claire McCaskill in the Missouri Senate race slipped slightly Saturday. The new Missouri Scout poll has the two candidates tied with 47 percent each.

Hawley, the state attorney general, was pulling away from two-termer McCaskill, according to recent polls. A Cygnal Poll released Tuesday put him ahead 49-46 percent, and a previous Missouri Scout poll last week had his lead at 49-45 percent statewide.

President Donald Trump appeared at a rally in Columbia, Missouri, on Thursday to stump for Hawley as a last-minute boost. He'll return Monday for a rally in Cape Girardeau.

The latest Missouri Scout poll was conducted November 1 through November 2, and included respondes from 1,424 likely 2018 General Election voters. The Margin of Error was +/- 2.6%.
