Newsmax TV on Wednesday that U.S. law, effective Sept. 1, requires data-recording black boxes inside all new cars sold in the United States — but doesn't say who owns the data, which includes speed, location, and whether seat belts are in use during a crash.
"Right now it's open to everyone," Fix said.
