Democrat Andrew Gillum holds a four-point lead over Republican Ron DeSantis in a survey on the Florida governor's race released Wednesday by the state Chamber of Commerce.
Gillum, the Tallahassee mayor who is seeking to become the state's first African-American governor, is ahead of DeSantis, who quit Congress on Monday to focus on his campaign, by 47 percent to 43 percent.
The chamber surveyed 514 likely voters between Thursday and Sunday — and the poll has a margin of error of 4.4 points.

DeSantis, 39, a former three-term congressman who has been endorsed by President Donald Trump, received 916,298 votes to win the Republican primary last month.
Gillum, also 39, a long-shot candidate who is backed by Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, beat out six others to win the Democratic contest with 522,164 votes.
