New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will appear as himself on an episode of the new NBC comedy “The Michael J. Fox Show.”
The governor's office on Monday confirmed his guest spot on the show, which premieres Sept. 26, only about a month before the Nov. 5 election, when Christie goes for his second term against Democratic state Sen. Barbara Buono.
News of the TV appearance was first reported in
The Huffington Post.

The air date for Christie's episode has not been announced.
Christie's television credits already include appearances on "Saturday Night Live," "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon," and "The Late Show with David Letterman."
His widely covered photo-op
embrace of President Barack Obama in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, however, was not applauded by conservatives.
In his new show, Fox, who in real life has Parkinson's disease, returns to series television playing a sportscaster with the same affliction.
