A new poll conducted in Florida shows Hillary Clinton with a three-point lead over Donald Trump, significant in that Libertarian Gary Johnson was included in the polling for the first time,
reports Politico.
The results:
- Clinton: 45 percent.
- Trump: 42 percent.
- Johnson: 6 percent.
That 6 percent could pose problems for Trump.
"Clinton is gaining her edge in two key areas — some defections from Trump to Johnson among white Republican and independent voters and extremely strong support for her among Hispanics (68 percent)," Brad Coker of Mason-Dixon Polling & Research said, according to Politico.
Clinton's support among black voters is even higher, at 90 percent.
The poll was conducted among 625 likely voters.
