Chris Christie Talks Trump and M&Ms on 'The Tonight Show'

Saturday, 02 April 2016 07:46 AM EDT

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has returned to "The Tonight Show" to talk about Donald Trump and M&Ms.

The former Republican presidential candidate joked with host Jimmy Fallon on Friday night's show about his much mocked appearance with Trump on Super Tuesday. He also defended his method of eating M&Ms at an NCAA tournament game last weekend.

Christie says he faced a big choice when he got back to his seat with a box of M&Ms and found a bag inside. A photo of Christie posted to Twitter showing him dumping them into the box led to days of jokes on social media.

Christie's presidential campaign ended in February.

He joked that Fallon will have to hire four new writers once he leaves office when his term ends in 2017.
