President-elect Donald Trump's Secretary of Labor pick, Andrew Puzder, wasted no time Monday night deflating a CNN report he is having second thoughts on the Cabinet nomination.
Puzder, CEO of the company that owns Hardees and Carl's Jr. fast food chains, is chafing under the relentless criticism from Democrats, labor unions and liberal groups, CNN reported, citing unnamed business and GOP sources.
"He may be bailing," one source told CNN. "He is not into the pounding he is taking, and the paperwork."
Shortly after the report was posted, Pudzer was on Twitter giving just the opposite impression – saying he was looking forward to the confirmation hearings.
Puzder's hearings, initially scheduled for this week, are on hold, and likely to be held next month, CNN reported.
