Daily Caller Reporter: Sen. Grassley Targeted for Audit as Payback

Former IRS official Lois Lerner allegedly attempted to target Sen. Chuck Grassley for an audit as political payback, according to Patrick Howley, a political reporter for The Daily Caller.

"A high-level official told me that it was retaliatory … Lois Lerner carrying out political payback for Grassley blocking President Obama’s nominee to head the DOJ [Department of Justice] tax division,'' Howley told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.
