Even though the number of Central American minors coming across the U.S. border has slowed, author and foreign correspondent L. Todd Wood says to expect that those who are in the United States will get refugee status after the election as the Obama administration works to bring more into the country by the planeload.
"The Obama administration has made a concerted effort to get this off the front page," Wood told Ed Berliner on "MidPoint" on
Newsmax TV on Tuesday. "There hasn't been an article from the mainstream media on this issue in the last several months."

"There's a behind-the-scenes effort to take this off the front page prior to the election, and it's definitely quieted down," he explained.
"You have the number of children trying to cross the border has slowed, but in the background you have an effort by the Obama administration to actually send American planes [to Central America] and fly them to the United States as refugees, and after the election you could very well see them granted refugee status," he said.
"It's a nod and a wink and just wait a few months," he said.
