During a campaign rally in Ashburn, Va., Donald Trump acknowledged a crying baby in the audience, then he said, "You can get that baby out of here."
Trump appeared to be joking, as he smiled while making the comment and the audience responded with laughs.
ABC political reporter Ryan Struyk posted a clip of Trump speaking, then hearing the baby crying.
The baby started crying as Trump discussed China's impact on the economy.
"Don't worry about that baby, I love babies," he said. "What a baby. What a beautiful baby. Don't worry, don't worry."
"It's young and beautiful and healthy, and that's what we want," he continued, then returned to his speech.
When the baby cried again, Trump stopped his speech.
"Actually I was only kidding, you can get the baby out of here," he joked. "That's all right, don't worry."
"I think she really believed me," he added, "that I love having a baby crying while I'm speaking."
