Real estate mogul Donald Trump is not holding back in his effort to support Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Trump took his gloves off against Romney rival Rick Santorum in a robocall sent to Michigan voters, according to Politico.

“This is Donald Trump, and I have to tell you I’m tired of Rick Santorum pretending that he’s some kind of D.C. outsider,” Trump said in the call. “Rick Santorum is a career politician that’s never had a job in the private sector. He doesn’t know about producing jobs.”

Santorum was a lobbyist before running for Congress, Trump noted. “And when he lost his Senate re-election by 18 points, one of the biggest defeats for an incumbent senator ever, he became a lobbyist again, joining a Washington, D.C., lobbying firm,” Trump said.

“Needless to say, Rick Santorum is completely entrenched in the Washington culture and has been for decades.” Trump said he supports Romney because he is the outsider in the race.

“He knows what’s happening. He knows how to handle China. He knows how to handle OPEC,” Trump said. “He’s a good man, working hard. We’ve got to get him elected, because he’s the one person who’s going to beat President Obama. He will win.
