Donald Trump, best known as a real estate mogul and television star, can now add movie critic to his list of bona fides. Shortly after the release of “2016: Obama’s America” back in August Trump took to twitter to predict it would top all documentaries in 2012.

@DineshDSouza's '2016: Obama's America' is expanding to over 1,000 theaters this weekend. Will be highest grossing documentary in 2012. !!,” Trump tweeted.

Trump was right. Recent box office numbers show the anti-Obama film grossing some $33 million, putting it at the top of the list of documentaries in 2012. The film is based on D'Souza's book “The Roots of Obama's Rage” and takes a critical view of President Barack Obama and his presidency.

The film is currently number four on the list of all-time domestic documentary box office hits behind “Fahrenheit 9/11” at $119 million, “March of the Penguins” at $77 million and “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never” at $73 million.
