The television program “60 Minutes” is set to air a probe of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s legislative actions that may have benefited her husband’s stock investments.
Reporter Steve Kroft asked the California congresswoman and former House speaker why legislation affecting credit-card swipe fees was not brought to the floor of the House in late 2008, citing her husband’s purchase of up to $5 million in Visa stock earlier that year, the
San Francisco Chronicle reported.
Pelosi responded: “What you’re contending is not true.”
The “60 Minutes” segment is expected to air on Nov. 13.
