Real estate mogul Donald Trump is going to try his hand at a scripted television drama, according to the
New York Post.
The Post reports Trump is planning a fictional drama that has an obvious marketing tie-in. The show will be centered on the lives of fictional residents of his luxury Trump Tower residence, which rises 68 stories in a tony district of Manhattan on Fifth Avenue.
Past residents, according to the Post, have included director Steven Spielberg, tennis great Martina Navratilova, television host Johnny Carson, late pop star Michael Jackson, movie icon Sophia Loren, and even Saudi Arabian arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi.
“Several major network and cable channel executives have already called, and a battle has begun to see where it will air,” said a Trump representative, who also said A-list celebrities are vying for roles.
