Rick Santorum is rolling out the barrel to get Wisconsin voters to check his name in the April 3 primary in the land of brats and cheese.

The former Pennsylvania senator, singing along with a crowd at a tavern in Green Bay on Saturday, drank a beer and munched on a burger and fries while partying with supporters on Saturday. He even played a few rounds of shuffleboard, the Los Angeles Times reported.

He also took to the bowling lanes in Sheboygan, home to a company boasting the best bratwurst in Wisconsin.

“I actually was bowling in Sheboygan yesterday with a bunch of folks at a tournament and threw three strikes in a row,” he said on “Face the Nation” on Sunday. “That’s a turkey. That tells you that you’ve got someone here who can relate to the voters of Wisconsin, just like those of us in western Pennsylvania who grew up in the bowling lanes.”

Emphasizing what he calls a cultural difference with his chief rival, Mitt Romney, he branded the former Massachusetts governor as “a financier from Wall Street” who is out of touch with the middle class.
