In an exclusive interview with Newsmax.TV, Sen. Marco Rubio brushed aside talk that he could be selected as Mitt Romney’s running mate for this year’s election — but he left no doubt about who he believes will win in November.

Asked if he would accept the vice presidential nomination if asked, Rubio responds: “I made the decision a couple of months ago not to even talk about the vice-presidential process anymore. I think Governor Romney deserves the space to make this decision without people out there speculating about it, especially people who are being speculated about in the media.

“What I can tell you for sure is that I know Mitt Romney is going to make a great selection. I know that because in his entire life he’s always made good decisions in everything he’s ever done. I know he’ll make a great decision now as well.”

Asked if he believes Romney will unseat President Obama, Rubio declares: “I do, because I think the American people understand that they’re not better off than they were four years ago.

“Things have only gotten worse. Everything Barack Obama has tried has failed because he doesn’t understand the American free enterprise system.
“So I think that when it comes to November, people are going to realize that and they’ll vote for Mitt Romney.”
