The U.S. Senate race in Virginia remains a toss-up, according to a new poll released Sunday by Rasmussen Reports.

The telephone survey of likely Virginia voters shows Democrat Tim Kaine with 49 percent of the vote and Republican George Allen with 48 percent. Three percent remain undecided.

The survey of 750 likely voters was conducted on Oct. 18 with a margin of sampling error of +/- 4 percentage points and a 95 percent level of confidence.
