Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich’s run for the GOP presidential nomination has gained the endorsement of Tea Party Nation founder Judson Phillips.

Gingrich is electable and the best debater, the organization's CEO wrote in a blog on the Tea Party Nation's website.

"Newt is electable,” wrote Phillips, a former Tennessee district attorney who founded Tea Party Nation in 2009. “If you have seen the GOP debates, Gingrich has been the best debater. He does really well in that format and he looks Presidential."
