Barack Hussein Obama is making Americans less safe than we were before he was president.
On Sept. 28 at Los Angeles International Airport a plane was stopped just before it took off, and two men “who appeared to be of Middle Eastern descent” were arrested. The Los Angeles Times reported that Los Angeles police said they were “acting suspiciously.”
Two men “who appeared to be of Middle Eastern descent.” Were they Mormons? Christians? Jews? Hindus? Sikhs? Coptic Christians? Who is taking bets on who the terrorists are? I want some of that action. My question to Americans is this: How long do you think it would take authorities to catch every one of the thousands of jihadis who are plotting against America in America? This defensive strategy is a loser’s strategy. It is only a matter of time.
But the only reason we were safe after 9/11 was because of President George W. Bush, his team, and his policies.
Obama is dismantling those very same policies, emasculating the CIA, trying (and failing, so far) to close GITMO, and creating walls between agencies — restoring many of the same terrible policies of Bill Clinton that made 9/11 possible. How long do you think you will remain safe while Obama triples the number of “diversity” visas and “religious” visas from the fiercest jihad hotspots in the world (Somalia, Gaza, Pakistan, Afghanistan, etc.)?
Just last week, a Muslim in New York was indicted for plotting to kill American troops. Another 24 are being sought. A New York imam, an FBI informant turned double agent, tipped off the would-be bomber that the FBI was on his tail. Another Muslim was arrested in Dallas for plotting to blow up an office building. Yet another Muslim was charged in a plot to blow up a federal building in Springfield, Ill. Other Muslims have been accused of plotting an attack on the Quantico Marine base. And other Muslims disappeared after arousing suspicion while photographing the Philadelphia subway system. How long do you think you have?
And while all this is happening, what is Obama doing? He is being tough in Afghanistan at least, right? If he is, he isn’t taking much of an active interest. The commander of our troops in Afghanistan, Gen. Stanley McChrystal, said in an interview broadcast Sunday: “I’ve talked to the president, since I’ve been here, once on a VTC [video teleconference].” CBS’ David Martin asked a follow-up question: “You’ve talked to him once in 70 days?” McChrystal said: “That is correct.”
Obama wasn’t always this indifferent. During the election he banged on the Afghan war drum. Afghanistan was the “good” war, Iraq the “bad” war. Afghanistan was neglected. That’s where the real action was, according to Gen. Obama, where the war on jihad, the war on terror, the overseas contingency operation (as the Obama administration now calls it) really was. Afghanistan was where Obama would redeploy our troops.
It was a marketing strategy for a man with a very different agenda.
Obama is not a wartime president, and certainly no commander in chief. He is sending thousands to their death in Afghanistan for no purpose, no objective. As Obama said recently, “victory is not the goal.” His meandering, procrastination, and indecision are a prescription for casualties (the wrong kind: ours, not theirs). It makes no sense strategically. A weak, aimless strategy gets our boys killed.
America should be outraged.
Obama’s contempt for the military is palpable. Since he took office, we have been experiencing the highest U.S. troop casualty rate ever in Afghanistan, month after month. Why is Obama keeping our finest young Americans there when victory is not the objective? If he has no goal and no plan for victory, he should bring our soldiers home. Obama’s aimless, useless operation in Afghanistan is a death trap.
The generals who are requesting more troops don’t understand Islam, and so they don’t understand what we’re up against in Afghanistan, and why we will never be able to establish a stable democracy there. They do not know who and what the ideology is, so how could they possibly recommend a proper war strategy? Seriously. How can you fight an enemy you are busy making excuses for? Dhimmis can’t fight wars. Infidels and kafirs are best suited to bring home a victory.
