Republican consultant Roger Stone told
Newsmax TV Donald Trump is a well-connected presidential candidate but he'd rather hang out with blue-collar workers than big bankers on Wall Street.
Roger Stone told Steve Malzberg he expected Trump to do well in the primary contests on the menu Tuesday.
"No, not really," Stone said when asked whether he was surprised about Trump's expected victories. "Donald Trump has access to some of the big business and industrial minds in the country. He's a very loquacious guy as you know. He likes to give and take and he likes to socialize.
"Although he would rather be with a group of truck drivers than with a bunch of Wall Street bankers. He's got access to some of the greatest minds in the country."
Stone added that
claims of disruption within the Trump campaign regarding Trump not being pleased with his advisor Paul Manafort are likely untrue.
"That appears to be a leak of someone who may have had more power in the campaign prior to a professional arising," Stone said.

Stone, the editor of StoneZone.com, added the leak could be traced back to another Trump advisor, Corey Lewandowski.
"It could be. I don't care who it is," Stone said. "The point is that Paul Manafort is focused on getting 1,237 delegates for Donald Trump. Trump runs his own campaign. Corey's right about that. Trump is his own man. Trump marches to his own drummer."
Trump won all five primaries Tuesday night in Connecticut, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Rhode Island.
