Man Defends His Home (and Rights) by Shooting Burglar

By    |   Tuesday, 16 November 2010 04:09 PM EST

This defensive gun use seems to have gotten more coverage than normal. This is a strong testament for gun rights, and sends a message to would-be criminals. From the St. Louis Post-Dispatch:

City police are investigating the death of a St. Louis County man who apparently was shot while burglarizing a home in north St. Louis overnight.

About midnight Tuesday, Deandre Robinson was shot at a home being renovated in the 5900 block of Astra Avenue . . . Robinson tried to escape, but collapsed outside. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died.

Police aren't releasing the name of the man who fired the shots. They say he was cooperating with police and wasn't arrested.
