Blagojevich believes the President’s interview can help him in his federal corruption retrial which starts April 20,
Fox News reports.
Blagojevich faces 20 charges, some stemming from claims he tried to sell Obama's U.S. Senate seat.
“Blagojevich's defense attorneys argue Obama's interview with the FBI on December18, 2008, is crucial to their trial preparation, specifically for cross-examination of a key government witness, Tom Balanoff, President of SEIU Illinois State Council and SEIU Local 1,” Fox reports.
Blagojevich's defense team believes some of the notes will help them counter Balanoff's testimony.
