House Speaker Nancy Pelosi may find out Sunday if she's going to be challenged by Rep. Heath Shuler to be the new minority leader for the Democrats. Shuler has stated p
ublicly that he will run for the position if nobody else does, reports The Hill. On Sunday, Shuler is scheduled

to appear on CNN's "State of the Union" show, and a day later on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" program. His potential challenge to Pelosi is expected to be a primary topic on both shows.
Pelosi's stint as House speaker is ending because Republicans won a majority of seats in the chamber in the recent midterm elections. She has announced that she will run for the position of minority leader, but 18 Democrats have so far stated that they won't support her bid.
Elections for House leadership positions are to be held on Wednesday.
