Likely Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney announced his endorsement of Republican Delaware Senate nominee Christine O’Donnell today in a release from his political action committee Free and Strong America. The ex-Massachusetts governor may be seeking to protect his right flank as he contemplates another run for the presidency.

The PAC is making a $5,000 donation to O’Donnell – the largest allowed by law.
