Editor's Note: This story is revised from the original version to make clear that Rep. Michele Bachmann opposes first lady Michelle Obama's ideas rather than anything personal.

Minnesota Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann isn't too keen on one of first lady Michelle Obama's opinions regarding obesity. The tea-party backed conservative accuses Obama of trying to implement a “nanny state” michele, bachmann, nanny, state, michelle, obamaafter the first lady recently urged mothers to breastfeed their children to help avoid childhood obesity, Politico reports.

Michelle Obama’s ideas are “very consistent with where the hard left is coming from,” Bachmann said in an interview on “The Laura Ingraham Show” Tuesday. “For them, government is the answer to every problem. So government got us in this problem, and so they think government is going to get us out of the problem. Clearly they’re wrong.”

Bachmann says she nursed all five of her children. But, “to think that government has to go out and buy my breast pump for my babies? You want to talk about the nanny state, I think you just got a new definition,” she said.
