The Republican-friendly American Crossroads group says it has raised more than $13 million since President Obama blasted it a week ago. The group and its campaign arm Crossroads GPS have easily surpassed their initial fundraising goal of $50 million, which has now been increased to $65 million, spokesman Jonathan Collegio told The Hill.

American Crossroads is backed by crack Republican strategists Ed Gillespie and Karl Rove.

Obama’s sniping has only increased support for American Crossroads, permitting it to spend $10 million more on House races and $5 million more on Senate races, Collegio says.

The Chamber of Commerce also promises to “ramp up” it activities before Election Day.
