Alaska Gov. Sean Parnell says he'd like to see more space between Sarah Palin and the man who moved in next door to the former governor while he writes a book about her.

Parnell appeared on Fox Business Network's "Cavuto" on Wednesday and told host Neil Cavuto that he was "disgusted" when he heard about author Joe McGinniss moving in.

Palin, Parnell's predecessor, has extended a fence to 14 feet between the two homes.

Parnell says it's a free country, but there are bounds of decency.

He added that he'd like to see "a whole lot more space between the former governor and somebody who apparently got something else up his sleeve and in mind."

Parnell became governor last July when Palin quit midway through her first term. He faces six challengers in the GOP gubernatorial primary in August.
